Well this was an unexpected winner. We just wanted somewhere for the family to sit with my elderly mum for a coffee. We sat on little ironwork tables on their mini verandah and enjoyed excellent coffee. The falafel wrap was A-maz-Ing. Real quality with lovely roasted veg and houmous. And even though they were super busy the staff were very friendly. Right inside the park gates, near the sensory garden: great people-watching spot.

Located in the heart of Jephson Gardens a conveniently cafe with seating indoor and out. Dog friendly and doggy treats available too. The ice cream is a hit served up in a cone or tub.

The menu isn’t just accommodating—it feels like it was made for vegans, with options that rival (and often beat) traditional menus. You can tell the ingredients are high-quality, and the chefs actually care about making vegan food exciting and indulgent. The café itself is light, stylish, and perfectly placed within the gardens. Sitting outside on a sunny day with a delicious vegan latte and slice of cake, surrounded by nature—it honestly doesn’t get much better. Lovely cafe located in Jephson Gardens in converted Aviary. Great coffee and cake. Loved the vibe and the tiled floor. If going for a walk in the gardens, you need to pop into the cafe.

Such a friendly place! I am always welcomed with a smile, the owners are making the atmosphere warm and inviting. There’s a wide selection of sweet and savoury snacks, coffee is delicious and there’s an impressive choice of alternative milk. No wonder there’s a long queue in front of The Aviary at the weekends, it’s a place that doesn’t have to depend on its perfect location but definitely benefits from it. Go try it yourself! Highly recommended!

Nice little tea shop in middle of Jephson Gardens, fresh brew coffee, tea, soft drinks, cakes and snacks. Dog friendly with canine snacks and water bowl available.

Really great coffee, and a good selection of sandwiches, pastries and cakes. Staff are friendly and quick. I only wish the opening hours were a bit longer!

We had very lovely drinks and cakes. Only downside was a quite grumpy service. She seemed not to be happy to help my partner, who is dyslectic, with reading the names of cakes. But place is beautiful to have a cup of coffee.
